An easily adjustable puppy collar and the matching leash should not be missing from your puppy equipment.
It's best to take the puppy collar and leash with you to the breeder when you pick up your puppy.
It is also possible to give the collar to the breeder during one of your first visits. This way the puppy can wear it straight away - so he will also take a few familiar smells home with him when you pick him up.

How do I care for the grease leather puppy collar?

Every now and then you should pull it through a cloth moistened with transparent leather grease to keep the collar nice and supple.

What should you consider when buying a puppy collar?

The rule of thumb is: If two fingers fit under the collar, then the size is perfect.

How do you get a puppy used to a collar and leash?

Our tip (and we needed an extra portion of it with Bjarki):
Patience, patience, patience . In the best case scenario, the puppy already knows the collar from the breeder. If not:
First, just put the puppy collar around the dog's neck briefly in the apartment and try to close it. Puppy collars with buckles are particularly quiet and therefore very suitable for this. If your little darling has the collar around his neck and it is locked, praise him straight away and pet him.
Even a small treat works wonders!

Then take the collar off again and practice again and again throughout the day. Help your puppy get used to the new situation with a lot of patience.

And don't forget: It's best to praise him whenever he does something great - even if it's just a small thing . The little puppy still has to learn and understand what you expect from him so that he can adapt to you and your life together !
